The scan did not go well.
The second line of chemo we hoped would shrink or control the cancer, even for a short period of time, has not done its job. I have had more growth and new lesions appear.
So we’re processing the few, and limited options left. I will write a bigger update when we’ve made decisions about a path forward.
For the time being, with our kids, it’s business as usual, so we just ask if you have kids Ry’s age that you are cognizant about discussion in front of them or with us in front of the kids.
I will continue to focus my time on the here and now. Trying to be grateful, knowing that many peoples lives are taken in a blink of an eye. They aren’t given the time I have been to truly live life. To prepare, make plans.
While this news is truly heartbreaking, the epic summer of 2019 must go on! So, on that note we are making our way north this week to a tiny island retreat with some of the people I love most.
